What
Purpose
Personalized books that look like your child’s world, and adjust to their reading level in real time.
When a story looks like a child’s own life, their pets, their favorite things, their neighborhood, it grabs them in a way a generic book never could. Leonardo Learning fills every story with that world automatically, so it genuinely feels familiar. And as they read, it senses where they’re struggling and where they’re excelling, adjusting every word and sentence in real time to keep them in their optimal learning zone. They feel challenged, but never overwhelmed.
Our Mission
Our mission is to bring knowledge to every child, regardless of capability or environment.
Platform
Leonardo Learning notices, then adapts, echoing the knowledge of a great educational expert with the personal understanding of a great parent.
Vision comes first: where a child’s attention goes, the tablet, the illustration, the text itself, which word they’re on, how long they linger, how quickly they move across a line, when they go back to re-read or correct themselves. On its own, that’s a first read on where a child’s focus really is, page by page.
Voice layers on top: as a child reads aloud, every sound gets picked up, not just whether a word was right, but which parts of it were, and which need more practice. Together, sight and voice already start to show whether a child is reading with confidence, or guessing ahead of what they can actually say.
Touch is the third layer: how a child follows the line with a finger, taps a word for its pronunciation, or explores the illustration out of curiosity. When sight, voice, and touch move together, word by word, that’s a child reading with confidence. When they don’t, that’s exactly where Leonardo Learning sees a child hesitating, guessing, or losing their place, and adjusts in real time.
Our patented technology (U.S. Patent 12,456,391) integrates these three signals to understand a child, rather than simply testing them.
Founder Statement
The way we learn is outdated.
We’ve taught children like they’re identical parts on an assembly line, sorted by age, moved along a fixed path. But kids aren’t cars. They’re unique, shaped by their own pace and environment, ahead in some places and behind in others.
Leonardo Learning applies a modern understanding of how children develop, especially in the years before school, to replace that assembly line with something built personally for each reader. Technology and pedagogy work together to create books that meet them exactly where they are, not the other way around.
